Bible Study Games For Kids

Educational games are a proven way to increase the ability of retaining information and it is no different for those who want to know more about the most incredible life changing knowledge currently available to man - the Bible.

Christian Bible study games are a fun way to enhance your learning experience. We mere mortals are bombarded with so much information on a daily basis it is hard for our poor old brains to retain it all however when it comes to games, pictures, word association games and the like for some reason or another our brains seem to retain the information.

Bible study games vary in degree of depth from simple Bible trivia games, Bible crossword puzzles, Bible word search games to more sophisticated full on graphic rich computer presentations.

While games are excellent for the teaching children the various concepts of scriptures they are also great for adults as well. Something worth considering is using the Bible study games to add more variety to Sunday school lessons.

When Jesus taught he used parables. He expounded heavenly concepts in earthly terms so that we could understand. We should teach our children in easy to learn style as well and Bible games are a perfect way to do so.

Bible role playing games are a great way to finish off a Sunday school lesson reinforcing what was taught and can provide a few laughs as well. Bible quiz and crossword games are a fun way to learn about Bible characters and other Bible word associations.

Throw in a few Bible memory games, some arts and crafts and the occasional huge treat of a Bible computer game coupled with adventure and you will be a real hit with the kids while helping them to learn and discover wonderful Bible teachings.

One my favorite and simple games is the humble crossword puzzle. I find the children really respond to it and by giving each child a copy of the puzzle or divide them into small groups with a Bible it hones their skills as they search for the answer in the Bible for each questions.

The crossword puzzles are usually easy to do with the question and Bible verse reference given so the children can look up each verse. This gives them interactivity as well as teaching them where each book in the Bible is. As they do more crossword puzzles over the course of a year they get quicker at finding the Bible verses.
