Childrens Bible StudyWhen I was growing up I was fascinated with the wonderful Bible stories such as Daniel in the Lions Den, The 3 guys in the fiery furnace, Joseph and the coat of many colors, David and Goliath, and so on. These stories inspired a believe within me that has never gone away. During those early years I had what was called a childrens Bible and it was great. I would read it over and over again. I always wanted to progress to what I called the Big Bible, that was the adult Bible with all those long words in it that I just couldn't understand. I just thought those things I would understand when I got older but of course I didn't realise that most adults didn't have a clue what was in the big Bible either. But all in all I have to say that a childrens Bible is an excellent gift for your children. It truly does inspire and build their faith and belief system in God. A good idea is to read the childrens Bible to your kids. I usually ready a Bible bed time story - I read a page or two and then go over the topic with them again. They ask questions and I give them answers. In fact it is amazing what type of questions your children ask. There is no greater faith then the faith of a child and to see them grow to love the Lord is a rela blessing. So when getting involved in childrens Bible study remember to keep things simple and short and fun. You don't want it to be like work or school but something they really treasure. There are some great online children Bible study resources online that provide some excellent lessons - in fact some of them a great for adults as well. There are online Bible games and videos that makes childrens Bible study interactive and fun. |
