Joshua is a 24 chapter book that belongs to The Old Testament. Joshua is a narration of the accomplishment and subjugation of God¡¦s men. It is about how the Israelites after merciless slavery under the Egyptians for over about 40 years were granted their stance and the piece of land that was promised to their forefathers- The Canaan. It is not a story that tells us about the disastrous aftermath of war but exemplifies God¡¦s grace and his power to conquer anything in this world at any moment.

Joshua was a God¡¦s messenger who was expected to lead the army that successfully captured Canaan. It narrates events about how the world was divided into nations under God¡¦s reign. Joshua mentions the victory of Israeli God over the Canaanites and glorifies the living presence of God. Specifically this is the sixth book of bible and the premier history book. The author is unknown till date.

Joshua In and Out: The Joshua Bible Study

Joshua primarily means the ¡§the Lord¡¦s Salvation¡¨. Joshua was the chosen one to represent God after Moses in this mankind. The Joshua Study is easy and requires a little bit of effort and understanding. What one requires before starting the Joshua Bible Study is as mentioned:

The first part of the book contains details about how Joshua took over as a leader and fought against the Canaan army to win the promised land and how the God¡¦s men conquered the city of Jericho and Ai by crossing over the Jordan river. Finally after fierce war-like situation, peace and goodwill finally prevails. The piece of land that the Israelites were endowed with was then divided and gifted to various tribes. Joshua finally meets his end at the age of 110. He was surely an able leader and dutifully accomplished his task.

Lesson Learnt

God and his blessings will always reign. The lesson we learn after the Joshua Bible Study is that we all are gifted with some tasks that god wishes us to fulfill. We should honestly and loyally take up the task and perform it to the best of our ability. The age old principle of the victory of good over the evil has been illustrated very well. From the book of Joshua we all should draw inspiration and realize our worth and purpose of our living. The prophecy made in this book of the bible is that we all should be complacent and God always helps the righteous people.
